online app

physical installation

We teamed up with Google's marketing department to create an online and physical experience inspiring participation in Australia's first 'Google Impact Challenge.''

The online application asked Aussies for their wishes for a better world, kickstarting a conversation about how local non-profits could effect change. Local non-profits could also submit their ideas and be in the running for $50k from Google.

(Yes, free burritos from the government on your birthday is a great idea, but no, it could not be achieved for less than $50k.)

Our job? We built the online platform and a 'wish' installation, where light, motion sensors and sound were used to portray the wishes of everyday Aussies.

We're big believers that technology and story can drive positive change. This project had a bit of everything.

Grumpy Sailor operates on lands belonging to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and the Boon Wurrung and Woiwurrung (Wurundjeri) peoples of the Kulin nation.

We acknowledge these traditional owners and we pay our respects to leaders past, present and emerging.
