Australians from all walks of life reimagined Shakespeare's text over one day.

There's a reason that Shakespeare's legacy has endured for so long and it's not because everyone loves wearing tunics.*

It's because his works are so rich, so layered and complex and raw, that they evolve with the times. They open themselves up to new interpretations and outlooks and there's always something new to discover.

Teaming up with Bell Shakespeare and Google Australia, this was a celebration of all of that. Using technology, we empowered a new generation of Shakespeare groupies to help tell his stories and their own.

*Everybody does love wearing tunics, though. They're airy and smart/casual and give you a terrific range of movement.

Grumpy Sailor operates on lands belonging to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and the Boon Wurrung and Woiwurrung (Wurundjeri) peoples of the Kulin nation.

We acknowledge these traditional owners and we pay our respects to leaders past, present and emerging.
